The Craniosacral Approach to the intermediate level is designed to build upon the CST-1 class, with techniques focused on the sphenoid, mouth, face, and whole body techniques as well. It is a four-day class consisting of lectures, demonstrations, and supervised practice sessions throughout each day.

Day One and Day Two consists of reviewing the CST-1 protocol with practice to follow, and focus in the afternoon on the specific lesion patterns of the sphenoid, which were20of great importance to Dr. Sutherland.

Day Three will continue to build on the sphenoid work with emphasis on the hard palate and the facial bones. These bones are often subject to external forces suffered from birth, childhood injuries, sports accidents, dental work, etc. Due to the hydraulics of the craniosacral system being more distant, these bones have a more difficult time in self-correcting, which has a direct impact on the overall fascia system of the body and health of the person. Participants are always impressed at how powerful it is to receive mouthwork and the effect it has on their whole body.

Day Four will introduce the technique a20pediatrics protocol developed by Richard C. MacDonald, D.O. for newborns, 0-1 year and children, 1-7 years of age. There will be one to two pediatrics demos in the class.

Day Five will move from the head into whole body evaluative techniques such as arcing, craniosacral rhythm, fascial glide, and facilitated segment, giving the therapist many more tools to quickly and effectively find areas of restrictions.and the day will conclude with a demonstration of Somatoemotional release material and an overview which will look at the more global aspects of the whole person- emotional, mental and spiritual components of the physical being.
